Session Description: This class provides a comprehensive explanation of the 2021 International Residential Code® (IRC®) Wood Wall bracing requirements. The seminar will focus on code requirements and application to design while clarifying the application of wall bracing provisions in the IRC wall bracing Sections R602.10 thru R602.12. This is a basic course covering all applicable provisions, an intermediate course specializing in high wind or seismic concerns, or advanced course dealing with gray areas of wall bracing and related requirements for the roof and foundation. Participants will successfully apply the provisions of the 2021 IRC to case studies involving bracing requirements for wood-framed residential structures in their region.

Cancellations must be submitted using this Cancellation form to cancel your registration for an event. Cancellations received before 5 business days will be assessed a $15 administrative fee for processing. Cancellations received on/after 5 business days will be charged 50% of the course fee. Any registrant who does not attend and does not cancel their registration (i.e., no-show) and any cancellation received the day of the event will be charged the full registration fee. Registration substitutions are permitted for registrants within the same municipality/organization and will be assessed a $15 substitution fee.
