Course Information
Election Bootcamp 101 is a new, comprehensive, full-day training designed to guide election officials and staff through every stage of the election cycle with integrity and confidence. Participants will explore the importance of election integrity, office organization, key tools and manuals, and use of the SOS TEMP site. The course covers voter registration best practices, Online Voter Registration, pre-election preparation, absentee voting, team training, and the practical steps required to hold an election—including paperwork, polling place setup, and understanding the roles of election workers and observers. The day concludes with post-election responsibilities, clarification of primary versus general elections, and an interactive Q&A session, ensuring attendees leave with practical tools and a clear understanding of their responsibilities.
Certification: This new class is currently under review for certification qualifications.
MTCCA Cancellations & Registration Policies
REGISTRATION:
MTCCA is dedicated to promoting the highest standards of professional development of municipal clerks by providing education and networking opportunities which enhance the level of service to our communities. Attendance at MTCCA educational sessions is limited to appointed or elected clerks and other municipal employees. Educational sessions relating to Title 21-A and Title 30-A may be attended by a Registrar or Deputy Registrar of Voters, Wardens or other municipal election officials, as space is available. Preference will be given to Regular Members of the Association. Only Regular Members will be eligible to receive continuing educational points for education sessions. Classes sponsored by MTCCA at the annual Maine Municipal Association Conference and Athenian Dialogue fundraisers are exempt from membership restrictions. Municipalities with vacancies in the municipal clerk position may request that another duly appointed municipal official attend a class in the absence of a clerk.
CANCELLATIONS:
All cancellations must be submitted using the official Cancellation Form to cancel your event registration.
· Cancellations received before April 22, 2026 will be assessed a $15 administrative processing fee.
· Registration changes (switching from in-person to virtual, or vice versa) will also incur a $15 administrative fee.
· Cancellations received on or after April 22, 2026 will be charged 50% of the course fee.
· No-shows and same-day cancellations will be charged the full registration fee.
· No exceptions to this policy will be considered.
